Conflict of Interest Policy.

PURPOSE
The purpose of this policy is to protect the interests of insight & foresight and our clients when potential conflicts of interest arise. It ensures that all business is conducted in a manner that is ethical, legal, and maintains the integrity of our services.
DEFINITION
A conflict of interest arises when an insight & foresight employee's personal, social, financial, or political interests could compromise their judgment, objectivity, or otherwise interfere with their obligations to insight & foresight and/or our clients.
PROCEDURE
Disclosure of Conflicts: All employees are required to disclose any perceived, potential or actual conflicts of interest to insight & foresight management as soon as they become aware of them.
Review of Disclosures: Once a disclosure has been made, it will be reviewed by management to determine whether a conflict of interest exists and what steps should be taken to resolve it.
Recusal from Affected Activities: If a conflict of interest is identified, the employee may be asked to recuse themselves from any activities related to the conflict.
Confidentiality: All information disclosed under this policy will be treated as confidential and will only be used to manage the conflict of interest.
EXAMPLES OF CONFLICT OF INTEREST
Examples of conflicts of interest include, but are not limited to:
Receiving gifts, favours, or other items of value that could influence decision-making;
Having a financial stake in a client’s business, or a client's competitors' business;
Entering into personal relationships with clients;
Using confidential information for personal benefit;
Using confidential information in a way that adversely affects insight & foresight and/or our clients; and
Participating in activities that are inconsistent with the best interests of insight & foresight and/or our clients.
COMPLIANCE
Failure to comply with this policy, including failure to disclose a potential conflict or to cooperate in its resolution, may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
REVIEW
This policy will be reviewed annually and may be revised as necessary. All insight & foresight employees are expected to understand and adhere to this policy at all times.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
All employees must acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to abide by this policy.
This policy is intended to provide a general guideline for managing conflicts of interest. It is not exhaustive and does not cover every potential conflict situation. Employees are encouraged to seek guidance from management if they are unsure about a potential conflict.
CHANGE IN POLICY
As we plan to ensure our conflict of interest policy remains current, this policy is subject to change. We may modify this policy at any time, in our sole discretion and all modifications will be effective immediately upon our posting of the modifications on this website.
