Hi! I'm James the principal of insight & foresight, where I utilise my experience in business, understanding of the changing world, and knowledge of what's to come to help business leaders make better decisions.

I thrive on approaching the world differently in order to gain clarity and greater understanding of our reality. After years of experience exploring multiple sectors from a unique perspective, I am passionate about supporting businesses to build their long-term foresight capabilities and prepare for their futures. With an inquisitive mind and nomadic spirit, I'm constantly seeking out new ways to understand tomorrow—in order to help organisations stay ahead of emerging trends and capitalise on opportunities.

Working with purpose is fulfilling and life changing – for myself and for others. My career has delivered results and a deep set of experiences across medical research, community services and economic development. I have delivered results across all major funding channels and products, board engagement, revenue optimisation, data analysis and insights, risk management, product development, team leadership, technology mapping and translation, digital marketing, value proposition development, impact investing, outcomes evaluation and payment by outcomes contracting – all for maximum impact.

I get satisfaction from supporting people and organisations to thrive and flourish. Whether through executive leadership, mentoring or coaching I have always supported others to grow and develop. I have led large teams 20+ and small teams 2+. I have sat on leadership teams, executive teams and worked directly with CEOs and Boards for much of my career. It’s always teamwork that gets the best outcomes.

I love keeping up to date and have recently completed courses on Developing Artificial Intelligence Strategy, Design Thinking for Innovation, Business Analytics and Visualisation and Developing Blockchain Strategy at RMIT University.

I am always keen to talk with people who are interested in thinking differently and exploring new ways of working to drive impact and future growth.
